Can the URL of this plugin be hidden unless someone has registered?

We run a virtual conference, and giving away the URL before someone has paid for it is obviously bad ??

I’m sure we could manage it some other way aside from the plugin, but it would be great if this was built-in.

Yes – there is a separate section for each workshop called Restricted Content that is only visible to users who have registered – put the URL in there.

You can try out the feature in a fully functional 24hr demo available at https://demo.conferencescheduler.com/

Thanks – in looking at my OP, I should have said “Registered and paid for”

I played around with it, and got it to work. A few notes, really side issues:

On the demo, it’s hard to find the product once you’ve paid for or registered it.

I don’t see how to get that full post view from the home page for any of the items. I guess I could add a ‘full view’ link to each post, but that seems like a lot of work.

I found it shows up under ‘registered’ on your account page, or the post link. I guess that’s part of my site layout/menu. So I added ‘my account’ to the top level menu. I could also have added my-account/registrations.

One other thing I noticed – in the demo, if you pay for say the Friday workshop, and add a session to Friday, it’ll show up. But if I pay for ‘Full Conference Pass’ it won’t (for obvious reasons)

So, I tried making the ‘full conference pass’ a WooCommerce group item, and made it include Friday. That worked! I signed Delegate3 up with the Full Conference pass, and then they were able to see the registered workshop I added to Friday.

One other small issue: the sorting for the sessions is a little strange. 10:30 am to 11:10 am shows up before 9:00 am – 9:40 am, and the ‘short sessions’ are sort of hidden under the cards, but I think this is a matter of the session layout.

Thank you, I think this can work!

At this moment, Conference Scheduler Pro can only restrict registration for all workshops together, there isn’t an ability to restrict registration per workshop which seems like more of what you’re looking for.

Having said that, I have been developing an extension that would allow for each workshop to have a product associated with it, and only allow registration when that product is purchased. It also integrates with WooCommerce to automatically create products, and converts the “Register” button into a “Purchase” button so you can purchase and register directly from the schedule. This extension – called Paid Workshops, is still in beta testing, but is available on the demo sites.

The link to the single page view for each workshop is currently available in the Ticket/Schedule block, and if you want it on every workshop on the schedule, you can customize the workshop template to add a link/button automatically. See the documentation for some basic instructions, and you can email me for more details if needed.

At this time, Paid Workshops only allows for one product per workshop, but it should be possible to allow multiple products to give access to the workshop. I can’t promise a timeline for adding that support, but hopefully soon.
