URL's Not Resolving

I was so excited to see WP-Clone was finally up to date – stopped using it a while ago and migrating each site has been a crap shoot. Bummed to say I’m having the same issue as others here. Hope the issue gets resolved soon. For now going to try All-in-one as was suggested.

I have done some testing and this might help.

did it show any errors on the restore successful page? no error code, but when I looked at the database through php myadmin I did notice that the plugin created 11 new tables (these are the core 11 tables) in my database.

it created them with the prefix of wpkb_ instead of the wp_ . I have wp_ set on both site and you can see that via my wp-config.php file.

inside of these new tables the find and replace was done. But was not done in the wp_ tables. I can open table wpkb_options and see the updated url’s . but in wp_options this has not been updated.

this is why the links dont seam updated.

I used this plugin and ran a test from one site to another and it worked perfect. I then used it to go to my “real” site and it’s tits up… I’m VERY disappointed.. and All in one is like 60 dollars to use….

A little help here would be wonderful.. and I’m happy to help you with your “real world” testing since I have the test bed already prepared…

Well as someone who had been using this plugin for almost since it’s launch I too am very very disappointed with the fact this issue is still not fixed. I has a 100% fail rate for us since the developer changed it. Now we are still not getting the fix. If he can not not fix then I would suggest rolling the plugin back so it is working and suspending the use of the new version until this bug has been fixed.

Could the developer do a video demonstration of what he means of a manual search and replace from the wpclone dashboard so people can see what they he is referring to. ??

What an amazing plugin this would be if really did work…

I’m having a problem now where the backup does not complete… I never get the link page to populate and I have a 2. -+ gig unfinished zip.

Host provider is bluehost… Anyone else seen this problem?

@jd you could try increasing the memory and execution limits, it just might work. (clikc advanced settings and you should see some new fields)

@nu Eranet I wasn’t aware that this was happening 100% of the time at your end. I still didn’t get a chance to properly test it but I can commit my current version to the trunk. it won’t show up on searches so you’ll have to grab the Development Version from here

Same issue. Redirecting to the previously cloned site including the admin. Have deleted my new site and retried with clones from 2 other different sites with the same results. I have used the plugin before, numerous times, and it always worked like a charm. I’m sure you’ll find a fix. Let us all know when you do.

I am also facing the same issue, restore overwrites all permalinks as well as user account tables it seem. Getting redirect to the originally cloned page with no way to log back in with the new sites credentials.

Plugin is not usable like this. Have tried previous version and dev. version, both to no avail. Same problem.
