    [... 20:33:33 UTC] ... <client-ip>: /[object%20Object]
    [... 20:33:35 UTC] ... <server-ip>: /?apbct_no_cache=22750512

I’ve noticed the above sequence in my access log when accessing URLs, in this case “/”. I’m not sure what all those apbct_no_cache messages are, but my bigger concern is what looks like a redirect to /[object%20Object] coming from the client (again).

When I deactivate the plugin I just see the first line in the log.

Can you explain what might be going on here? Why there is a second request coming from the client? And what also looks like a badly constructed URL where some object is being appended.

    Thanks.

    Hello

Seems like this is a cache issue. Could you try to disable “Add a CleanTalk Pixel to improve IP-detection” option in the plugin settings (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings)? And then clear the cache of the site. Or you can try to reduce the cache lifetime to 12 hours.

    Did it help?

Ok, so I turned the setting “off” but I didn’t clear the site cache and it worked fine.

I turned the setting back to “auto” and it’s still working fine.

So it seems that something tripped the system before and now I’m back on track. But this may happen again and I won’t know about it unless I keep checking the access logs.

    Any recommendations?

I checked again this afternoon, and the problem reappeared. Went through the same off/auto sequence and it resolved again. So, I conclude that after N hours the problem reappears.

What would be the down side if I permanently disable the “Add a CleanTalk Pixel to improve IP-detection” option? Will I see more spam?

    Hello, @mammadz

This option is optional and disabling it does not affect the main functionality of our plugin. You can disable it.
