URL won’t load WordPress site

  • I recently posted a blog site with a unique URL. The URL has been setup and any index.html file posted to the site will dispaly normaly using the URL. However, when I remove the index.html and replace it with the published version setup by WordPress the URL redirects to my main root website rather than my blog site. I have worked to try and resolve the issue for hours with now success. This the my second blog site posted under a seperate set of tables in my one database. The database also serves my primary website. Any ideas on what might be forcing my URL to redirect to my root website?

    You will have to explain this. Normally, every WP site has its own URL, otherwise they don’t work.

    So, where is the WP installation and where are you trying to show it?

    This one is also very confusing. You can have only one index file in a dircetory. When you remove the index.html – the index.php of WP should be there. Is it?

    EDIT. I just saw the word “redirect” in your tags. DON’T try any smart trick redirecting WP. It will not work.
