• Today I get “http_request_failed: A valid URL was not provided” for the Amazon Auto Link. I guess the last rest of widgets and old SiteStripe has disappeared.

Here is an example of what the plugin gives (German marketplace):
Auto Amazon Links: No products found. http_request_failed: A valid URL was not provided. URL: https://ws-eu.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?SearchIndex=All&multipageStart=0&multipageCount=20&Operation=GetResults&Keywords=1686827031|B0BDB5H3NQ|B0085A5H28|B0BSNYJQTB|B00JF11E5A|B004G6T6P4|B0841PFL4K|B0BJPZ3S25|B00UYNF6F2|B00AAZU33E|B0084A8QMC|B01N6FQ1TQ|B002SQJIXO|B084KVY7T6|B0BJPYM1S5|B0BJHLMWVY|B09VT9J4ZN|B00AJDHL3M|B001HEW7JK|B00KBN2AGS&TemplateId=MobileSearchResults&ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=DE Cache: AAL_a22d75a1a1c2bc866319de1375edddd5

When starting up an affiliate business, we are not qualified for the PA-API. The webshop we’re making is presenting specific items. But the working (without PA-API) Category Unit cannot show specific single items by ASIN. As what we have figured out.

What is left is to hardcode images, titles, description, prices etc until the new web shop qualifies for the API. What a mess…

Anyone with a solution to present specific single Amazon products on a website without PA-API or hardcoding?

    Hi,

Sorry to hear that the links are gone now.

Auto Amazon Links: No products found. http_request_failed: A valid URL was not provided. URL: https://ws-eu.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?SearchIndex=All&multipageStart=0&multipageCount=20&Operation=GetResults&Keywords=1686827031|B0BDB5H3NQ|B0085A5H28|B0BSNYJQTB|B00JF11E5A|B004G6T6P4|B0841PFL4K|B0BJPZ3S25|B00UYNF6F2|B00AAZU33E|B0084A8QMC|B01N6FQ1TQ|B002SQJIXO|B084KVY7T6|B0BJPYM1S5|B0BJHLMWVY|B09VT9J4ZN|B00AJDHL3M|B001HEW7JK|B00KBN2AGS&TemplateId=MobileSearchResults&ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=DE Cache: AAL_a22d75a1a1c2bc866319de1375edddd5

As you’ve already been aware, this is due to the end of SiteStripe.

But the working (without PA-API) Category Unit cannot show specific single items by ASIN. As what we have figured out.

You might want to try the White and Black list filter unit options.

    1. Enter * in the Title field of the Black List option
    2. Enter the ASINs you want to display in the White List option, separated commas

Be aware that if the fetched product data set does not include the product with the specified ASIN, none will be displayed. If this happens, try increasing the value for Maximum Number of Items.

I’ll search for other ways to fetch Amazon product data without API keys though.

I’ve tried follow the instructions of how to make the Category Unit work without having an API.
All types are selected, with category:
    DE > Drogerie & K?rperpflege
Then inserted the ASIN under Whitelist / ASIN:
    B09K4664LM
And in Blacklist / Title added the character *

This gives: “Auto Amazon Links: No products found. (125 items filtered out)”

When removing all from Whitelist and Blacklist, I get results, and these results are always the same and not what I want to show. If I put blank in the Black list and anything in the White list, e.g. “Femometer” in the Description or Title fields, which is the B09K4664LM product, I get exactly the same results as for empty field in the White list. If I put “Femometer” in the White list Title, and * in the Black list Title, I get:
“Auto Amazon Links: No products found. (125 items filtered out)”

Maximum Number of Items can be set to maximum 10.

I thought this was a caching issue, so cache has been cleared without any effect.

    What am I doing wrong?

Make sure that without the Black and White list options, your desired products are included first. If the products you want to display are not included in the first place, none will be shown even though you set the Black and White lists.
