    Hi,
The example URL provided here is a page that’s been removed so should just 404.

However I have done a HOP trace using https://httpstatus.io/ and can see its being redirected to an image we have on our site instead by the Yoast SEO (FREE) plugin.

Any pointers as to why and how to stop this happening is appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @2startltd

The page “free-forklift-training-guide-2” redirects to the image because the media pages are disabled from WordPress dashboard > Yoast SEO > Settings > Advanced > Media pages > Enable media pages [toggle button is disabled]. This is the correct behavior.

When you upload an image, WordPress automatically creates a media page (attachment URL) for it. These page is quite empty and could cause thin content problems, and lead to excess pages on your site. Therefore, Yoast SEO disables them by default (and redirects the attachment URL to the media itself).
