    Hello Waleednasir1024,

And thank you for the explicit explanation of your issue!

What you face is a known limitation: shortcode filtering doesn’t work when the shortcode page is simultaneously declared as static home page on the Settings > Reading page of WP admin. Thank you for pointing this out, we should mention it in a warning on the plugin documentation page!

I suppose a workaround for the situation like yours could be setting the shop page as static homepage in Settings > Reading (because this particular combination IS supported by the filters), and then creating a filterable shortcode-driven page if you wish to mimic the existence of a separate shop page as well.

thank you for the quick response but i want my homepage to be shown as a homepage and i don’t want any shop page to be show as evident from the top menu no shop page. is there any walk around in which i can keep the products on my homepage and it works when i go back or at least it takes me back to the shop page?

All the other ajax filter plugins are working great in the same scenario like yith, advanced ajax, woof etc they also change the url and if go forward to a product and go back it takes me to that filter and that product on the homepage but i want to stick with annasta filters because its great with almost all kind of customization and options which the other dont have so a code snippet or anything that can help me

    Dear Waleed,

The fact that I see your particular scenario in our known limitations list tells me that it has already been tested and no easy fix was found at the time.

If you aren’t under time pressure, let me run a few more checks and see how deep the issue really is. I will try to let you know the result of my tests by tomorrow.

time isn’t that big of a issue I for now started using another ajax plugin that’s just fine not good i would say so I cant wait to be back on annasta filters. you can check the issue i wish it gets fixed you can check the URLs the other plugins generate if you can structure yours like them or if you can add one in the files that let homepage know what that URL means (problem for now I guess is the URL resembles the default shop page URL just /shop/ from between is missing and WordPress don’t know what to do with it lol) if you can roll out an update or a code snippet will be just great. Looking forward to you guys and once again thanks for a great plugin

    Hello again Waleed,

And thank you for your kind words about the work that we do here, it is always pleasant when your effort is appreciated ??

We looked into the [products] shortcode on static front page filtering issue, and found the reason for this strange behavior. Unfortunately there is no elegant solution for this, because the issue springs from the WordPress’ own limitation on the usage of registered query variables, particularly on the front page (!?!), BUT we managed to find a slightly hacky way that seems to resolve the issue. Please drop us a line at the same e-mail that you contacted us before if you would like to test-drive it on your site!

    Hello Waleed,

I will mark this inactive thread as resolved, but you are still welcome to contact us if you ever wish to go back to the issue of filtering a Woocommerce [product] shortcode running on front page.

    Have a nice day!
