• So I wanted to have a blog with WordPress but with an original domain name so I bought “www.rlmstevens.com” through BlueHost. But when I tried to redirect it to a blog, it changed the URL to “www.rlmstevens.wordpress.com”… First Question: Is there a way to fix it on BlueHost so that it will just always say “www.rlmstevens.com”?

Anyway, so I figured WordPress didn’t like this so then I upgraded to the Domain Mapping feature on WordPress and now I have two domains registered under them and half the time I go to my site it comes up as the blog I’ve been working on (usually with the “wordpress” in the url) and the other half of the time it’s a start up blog page from WordPress. This is SO frustrating.

    Can someone help me please??

  • Hi,
I too am with Bluehost and I install WP using their Simple Scrpts found on the control panel, under Software & Services. This installs WP into any domain or add-on domain you have with Bluehost.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,

    Mike
