URL problem

  • Hi, I am trying to get WordPress to use ‘.html’ on the end of links to Pages, but it doesn’t seem to work.

    I have set the permalink custom option to /%category%/%postname%.html but it will only recognise it when I put /%category%/%postname%/ in the browser.

    Anyone know how to fix this?

    It’s recommended one end their custom permalinks that way, especially since it can cause problems with post pagination as well as feed and trackback links to a post. But if one is willing to put up with that…

    r2d2_r2d2, if you change it to:

    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%.html

    Does that work? If so, then see if this plugin solves any problems using %category%:

    Beyond that, I’m out of suggestions.
