URL Parameters listed in GWT under Crawl category

  • I have the following listing of URL parameters listed in GWT under the Crawl category. I changed some of them from the default setting “Let Googlebot decide”.

    Can somebody explain what especially the unchanged ones mean, if I should be concerned about them with regard to duplicate content and if yes what I can do about it and how to proceed. Thank you in advance for your help.

  • Great question. We are actually seeing pages indexed with the ?utm_ parameters, which I don’t think is a good thing for SEO. Yet I’m hesitant to change the “let Googlebot decide” setting without more information.
