URL parameter also for default langage

    Hello,

    I have set up in wpml, and i want to use Language URL format as wpml add default language in URL parameter.

    The issue is, that for the default language there is no lang parameter in the URL link. Is it possible to get it there? For all the other languages it works fine, just the default language is missing it.

    Hello @horsee,

    For the “Language name added as a parameter” option this is expected, we don’t have a featue to add the aprameter also to the default language. However, I think that if you add it manually to the URL, it works.

    For the “Different languages in directories” option, we have the “Use directory for default language” option available.

    But if it is translated content I am not able to update the link. I was also thinking of manually adding the language there, but i cannot update the link

    Hi there,

    As we don’t have this feature in WPML (lang parameter in main language), maybe you can suggest it in our feature request form: https://wpml.org/suggest-a-new-feature-for-wpml/

    Maybe you can try to edit using the manual translation editor to edit the links in translated version:
    – Go to the edit screen of the page (original language).
    – Change the language using the Language switcher at the top admin bar
    – if it display a warning, click on “Edit Anyway”
