Using WordPress 6.1 Every time there’s an update, I lose the ability to change the page slug to a more usable name. For exaple, if I create the page “fruit.com/xxxx”, and I want to rename the page slug “fruit.com/orange” the option is no longer available. Is it a different view interface? Can I just add the option back?

    Thanks!

  • The interface changed slightly with 6.1.

Now, the URL is listed in the “Summary” panel at right (way at the top).

Clicking on the URL will pop open a form where you should be able to edit it.

But it’s still using the title of the page as the page url. If I change the permalink to what I want, it says it can’t be found. Permalink doesn’t seem to work the same as the “slug” option before.

    But thanks!

Was my bad! It did change. Maybe I didn’t wait long enough, (or refresh the page?)

    Thanks for your help!
