URL or Upload Images

Hi all,

Maybe this is off-topic but i was curious about the image weight on the websites. I just realized that we can put an image with URL instead of uploading it on the website, so my question is, will that put less weight on the website if i use images uploaded on Imgur or somewhere else and use the URL on my website, or it will be the same as uploading on the actual website?
