    Hello,

    Firstly, fantastic plugin, thank you.

I regarded your tutorial about event tracking with Google Analytics.

I would like to track where the search happens, I mean, the url where the user interact when the search happens…

There are some variables to put in the fields of the different events, i mean: Category, Label… but anything about URL variable or path variable…

Anyway, If definitely not possible, could be interesting in future updates…

    Thank you again ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Thank you for your kind words.

That should be available as a metric on the google analytics dashboard. I believe it is either called “Page” or “Landing page” or something similar.

    Hi,

Yes, you could go through Behavior>Events> Pages, and there select “page” as dimension and merge all the thins together. No problem.

One question more: Are these tracking events working with the new properties of Google Analytics 4 ? Because at the momment the plugin’s setting ask for Id of Universal Analytics propertie…

    Thank you again

Both GA and universal analytics integration should work.

    Hi,

“Page view” search tracking works well with GA4, but the events seems not working in GA4 ( more detailed and powerfull option).

I missed something, some step? Or Is this feature on your roadmap?

    Thank you

As far as I know, GA4 uses the gtag.js integration method, which is supported by the plugin. I just checked the code and a live server, and it seems to be working all right: https://i.imgur.com/ZSin5AZ.png
The underlined events are sent in that case by the plugin. You may have to wait a little bit for the events to appear.

Ok, my setup of GA4 is made through Google Tag Manager, and With Tag Manager doesn’t work.

Otherise If the gtag.js it’s on the <Head> of the web, Then I see the events in real time reports as you shared in your screenshot.

    Thank you

    You are welcome.

I will check the tag manager if there is an API, but I believe the gtag.js is required to send events programmatically.
