    Hello,

Our client wants to have the name or URL of the feed source appear in the post, not static text like “this site.” It’s not obvious how to do that using the “Source Link Text” box. Hoping to avoid templating/functions.php with this one.

    How do we do it?

    Thanks.

  • Hi @marklavin,

You might want to use the Append/Prepend to Content instead for that.

    Eric,

Great and thanks for the advice on this… for other users running into this as a confusing issue, here goes…

Note that I changed the link by

    a. unchecking the master “link back to source” box on the RSS Aggregator >> Settings >> Feed to Post admin page, and
    b. dropping the following snippet in the “Prepend to Post” section in the editor (text tab, not visual tab) for each individual Feed Source:

This post first appeared on {{feed_name}}. Read the original article.

If you add more Feed Sources, you will need to do #a for them too.

    You’re welcome, @marklavin.

Thanks also for sharing the tips on how you use it on your site. Appreciate that ??
