URL Not Directing to Homepage

  • Hello,

    I am fairly new to WordPress and am working on my first project. I am running into a strange issue when trying to view my site. I’m running the Hestia Theme with Elementor and OrbitFox.

    I only have one page called “home”, but when I got to “myurl.com” it directs me to my generic “Just another WordPress Site” page. At the same time, if I type in “myurl.com/” it sends me to the actual home page. The only difference in these URLs is the forward slash at the end, but it makes things very confusing. I just want to type the URL in and go right to the home page.

    Has anyone faced this issue before? I feel like this might be a common problem.

  • go to admin panel
    apperence->
    customize->
    Homepage setting->
    check static homepage->
    homepage(select page you want to set for homepage)
    ->publish
