URL ghosting

Hello and thanks for the wonderful plugin!
I have installed and created a new product!
Usually I would see /category/product as a base structurehttps://www.mydomain.com/category/product-A
After activating the plugin I can use
https://www.mydomain.com/product-A BUT if I place anything before
https://www.mydomain/ <write whatever you like here> /product-A it still shows the product. Is that good for me and how is that happening?
