• I installed a two-page WordPress site (built on the Thesis theme) a few days ago, then set my client’s nameservers at GoDaddy to do a URL forward mask to the WP site index. The redirect appears to be working as it should; however, now, there’s no accessing the WP control panel (dashboard) or pages. When attempting either to directly reach the site URL (https://pamelitaandparker.com) or the URL to which that address is being forwarded (https://pamelitaandparker.com/wordpress2/), the following error message is encountered:

“This website is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.”

This has been the case for over 24 hours. Can anyone PLEASE shed light on this? There is a time sensitivity issue regarding this site going live.

    Thanks.

  • pcgk64,

When I look at the site https://pamelitaandparker.com, it looks as though the domain name is pointing directly to the hosting account as it has the default “This Website is Coming Soon” page.

When I try to pull up https://pamelitaandparker.com/wordpress2, I’m getting a page not found, which generally indicates that there is no valid index file in the directory.

If you are installing WordPress into the root directory of https://pamelitaandparker.com instead of into the /wordpress2 folder, you can alleviate any need for forwarding of the domain.

You may have already spoken with support regarding this issue, but I wanted to address it here in case you were still having any further questions.
