    Hello,

When my clients receive emails to reset their passwords because they request it, they receive the typical email but the link in the content of the email doesn’t work. It is redirected to Page not found. For example, when it says: Click here to reset your password go here: https://natursenior.com/ls/click?upn=qgzkWj8wpf8tfdJE-2FmeEoV1iqQXRwzfNikncQppegj9b4kRT39nO4SlUD5UBfbNWdz8CHW2cJR4GZQ4LOqBhRjHBZooa64qkXwC0bEAVQDOF77MQ DRzUh HHKqGg8p80hKpH9_r-2BtZGgcq2PsZ3BoB08JnsLQh16w3EkvqzmWpyRW-2BYEA-2FJiHrwt8k8E23oNW2D-2FsOHOw3KKmxm1PRI0iSciSdYHmqazSe-2BZ1dKdMGHKC 0OmPOESNo6CDib Skro4t84-2BceJIaJfTRrBy31DF1bHRO-2BvfFjAlo60QibNQxbw1K2dedPmaoXLbK6ZhHGHyAUwgomBmXc3J-2FsDHkvBL2-2Fv7JSbe9WgNPJyoGPnsORUqo9zCk-3D

Can you help me? A few months ago I had this error and I solved it by migrating the web to a WooCommerce application because it was installed on a WordPress and with that it was solved, however, the problem reappeared. WooCommerce support has told me the following:

“Just to clarify, the format of the password reset link in the email is not the standard /wp-login.php?action structure. It is of the click?upn= type of structure.

With a search online, I was able to verify that this is related with click tracking.

While investigating the site’s System Status Report (SSR), I noticed Omnisend for Woocommerce: by Omnisend – 1.13.1 in the list of (deactivated) plugins.

My recommendation is to reach out to their support channel (support forum linked here) regarding this, as they would be in a better position to assist you.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.”

Hello there! Thanks for submitting the support thread and apologies for the late reply!

We have tested your setup out, and here’s what we found. You see, during our testing, we found out that the password reset links aren’t sent through Omnisend itself, which is important since the app can track links from the emails that were sent through it only. We cannot apply our click tracking mechanism to the links that were sent by third-party tools.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Omnisend uses link shortening and UTM tags in all links that are added to the emails, see an example of such link below:

    https://kaw.soundestlink.com/transactional/link/6514fc571e5229adf46fc2a8/aHR0cHM6Ly9hcHAub21uaXNlbmQuY29tL3NldHRpbmdzL3N0b3JlL3ByaWNpbmctcGxhbj9tb2RhbD1zbXM=?signature=90c5dbb9876635eb1ba80c34c5593a7ddc1ed8f1c26e431377d4b47b39971433

As you can see, the structure does not match the one your password reset links have.

With this in mind, it seems that Omnisend does not cause trouble in this case. To confirm it, can we ask you to remove the plugin and test the password reset flow? Let us know of the results.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!
