URL coupon is not working unless there’s already a product in cart

    Hi,

    The URL coupon doesn’t seem to be working unless there’s already a product in the cart.

    More specifically, as I set the URL coupon to https://www.example.com/?apply_coupon=autocoupon (i.e. Woocommerce Shop page), choose a product, and add it to cart, the coupon is just not automatically applied to cart. I would have to enter the site again with this URL coupon in order to have it applied to cart.

    This doesn’t seem normal, does it?

    WC doesn’t allow a coupon on an empty cart. The pro version of my plugin has a workaround for this. It will show a message ‘coupon will be applied when the restrictions are met’, and enqueue the coupon.

    i was looking for this too, will be upgrading to pro in that case (suggest mentioning it in the description – its way more natural to use this plugin for that purpose)
