URL changed after update

  • To change the site URL you should go to wp-config.php file. And there you should do the following:

    define('WP_HOME','https://example.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','https://example.com');

    But, there is one thing, it is told by WordPress that:

    You won’t be able to edit them on the General settings page anymore when using this method.

    Thanks for the help.
    Unfortunately the problem persists. The URL in the general settings were already set to https://copenhagencakeshop.com and after I insert the code text as per your instructions there’s still no change in the site URL… And yes I did remember to change https://example.com with https://copenhagencakeshop.com ??

    I really hope theres a way to fix it! :/
