Go to wp-admin/options-permalink.php

then choose post name in Common Settings then save changes. it will solve your issue

Redirection is working only in one way.

1.
If I select Permalink pattern to Day and name then its redirecting
https://localhost/blog/sample-post/ to https://localhost/blog/2012/10/11/sample-post/ .

2.
But if i select the Permalink pattern to postname
https://localhost/blog/2012/10/11/sample-post/ is not redirecting

https://localhost/blog/sample-post/ .

My requirement is second one. As this blog is already submitted in many articles which is following https://localhost/blog/2012/10/11/sample-post/ pattern and need a redirection to https://localhost/blog/sample-post/

I have given the Permalink pattern to postname . Then i have checked with

https://localhost/blog/2012/08/20/10-tips-to-beat-the-agile-fixed-bid-blues/

Its giving 404 Error.
