One of the NCWSA teams owns the url https://www.muwaterski.org (through Google Domains) and wishes it to be used for their Marquette University team page on our website (https://www.ncwsa.com/teams/marquetteuniversity).

I set up the plug-in and placed their URL and the page in the settings.

Since you indicated in the setup the domain must point to the primary domain, their domain is set to 301 redirect to https://www.ncwsa.com. We thought this would then push viewers to the Marquette team page with the muwaterski URI, this does not happen.

I appreciate any insight to helping resolve this problem. Thanks.

    hello,

a 301 redirect is not working here. the domain must have the same A-records in the DNS system as your ncwsa.com domain. and in the hosting from this main domain, the new domain must also be configured to point to the same directory in the webspace.

please ask your hosting provider to help you with that and if you have any troubles later, feel free to ask back here ??

Okay so let me make sure I have all this clear.

    Within the muwaterski.org domain configuration:
    1) Delete the 301 forward/redirect.
    2) Insert an A record for muwaterski.org that points to ncwsa.com’s IP.

    Within the ncwsa.com hosting:
    1) Configure so that muwaterski.org points to the same base directory as ncwsa.com

I will go with these steps, but please correct me if I interpreted you incorrectly or left something out. Thank you.
