On my entry page, thousands of entries were created that I did not create and two users were added that I did not create either. How can I know if my website has been compromised and how to proceed?

Sounds like you’ve been hacked. Sorry.

Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures

If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.

Thank you for all the information Steven. I just downloaded Quttera and scanned the website. According to the result there are Potentially Suspicious Files:0 Suspicious Files:0 Malicious Files: 0.

In this case what would you recommend me to do.

If your site is compromised, you cannot trust any scan you run. So…

First, change *all* passwords related to your site — all users, as well as your password(s) to your hosting account. Then, follow the advice in the guide to replace ALL your plugins and themes with freshly downloaded files, as well as deleting and replacing the WordPress core files. Manually examine wp-config.php and .htaccess for anything that looks off.

Once that’s done, then scan your site.

By the way, my external scan of your site indicates it may be a multisite. If so, then this is a much bigger thing to fix.

would you recommend me to reset all my wordpress? if so, how can I do it?
    What does mean multisite?

Reset, as in blow away your data and start fresh? No, not necessarily. That’s a very last resort. By the way, do you have a backup from before all this happened? The first choice would be to restore that, update everything, follow the hardening guidelines, and go forward.

I do not have a backup. thats why Im considering to reset the web page. Is there ay guide to do it?

What does mean multisite? In your external scan you can find out if other domains have been compromised?

Once again thank you very much for all your help Steven

I can’t see much from an external scan. If you want to “reset” the site, given that it’s compromised, I recommend deleting *all* the files as well as the database (via PHPMYADMIN), then reinstall WP from scratch. Again, make sure you’ve changed your hosting password(s) and use a strong password for your admin account.

I already changed all the passwords. I PHPMYADMIN a plug in? Or how do i proceed with the reset?

phpmyadmin is available when you login to your HOSTING control panel.

I installed solid security plug in and it advices 21 threats blocked in firewall panel. That means hackers are trying to get in the wordpress but they cant?

If I reset wordpress from scratch they will continue trying to get in? or that is a way to stop the attack

    (@ebastidas632)

I have deleted everything via PHPMYADMIN. Technically now I shouldn’t have any problems, or is the domain still at risk?

If there’s nothing there, there’s nothing to hack. ??
