I am starting this new thread because the previous call for help posted on this forum days ago was not responded to by the engineers. Please can anyone on this forum help me out? On activation of the the theme, my post images are not showing and even the featured contents which ought to display at the top are not too.

Direct me on how to fix this issue please. Thank you.

Hi there – apologies for the delay in responding. Folks from Automattic (the makers of this theme) have been away at our annual meeting, but we’re back now. Thanks for your patience.

Could you please confirm that you’ve added a Featured Image to each post? Featured images are what get pulled onto the homepage and displayed there. This is what the Featured Image box upload area looks like on each post — it’s normally below the Publish and Page Attributes boxes:

Edit Page Test Site 7 WordPress

If you don’t see the Featured Image box, click the Screen Options tab at the top right to open it, and check off the “Featured Image” option:

Edit Post Test Site 7 WordPress

The recommended size for featured images in Gazette is at least 1920px wide by 768px high, since they’re also displayed at the top of single posts at a larger size.

For the Featured Content section at the top of the homepage, here are the steps:

    1. Once each post has a fetured image, choose a featured-content tag and in the Customizer’s Featured Content panel, add the tag in the field provided.
    2. For each post you’d like to feature in the Featured Content grid, add the same tag you selected. Be sure to keep the same capitalization for the tag everywhere.

Let me know how it goes.

Hello – I have this exact same problem. I do have the “set featured image” and used it, but in re-reading Katherine’s support email I’m thinking it might not be working since this post is not on my home page, but rather on a featured post.
Are you still there, Katherine? Any further suggestions? I also don’t know what Gazette is.
    Thank you so much!!
    Barbara

I also don’t know what Gazette is.

    Hi @barbmac8

Gazette is a WordPress theme. This thread was posted in the support forum for that theme.

If you need help with your own site, please create your own separate thread, then post a link to your site in that thread.

    Thanks ??

Thanks, Gary! Will do. New to using the support forum.

@barbmac8 – if you need help with the premium Clock theme used on planningbeyondcapitalism.org, I’d suggest asking for help directly from the developer, since volunteers here won’t have access to your paid theme.

    Good luck!

I have a similar problem. Every picture in my post is not showing. There seems to be allot of code in each of the pictures:

If I remove offline the following in the reference it will display fine.
    style=”display:none” class=”crazy_lazy alignnone size-full wp-image-3108″

How do I change this for the entire site?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Garry

Here is the code for one of the links:

    <noscript></noscript>

    Hi Garry,

If the site you need help with is https://accautomation.ca/, then the problem appears to be caused by a lazy loading plugin, possibly called Crazy Lazy. Please try disabling that.

If that doesn’t help, please try disabling all plugins. It’s possible that the lazy loading feature is part of a different plugin, like the Speed Booster Pack or W3 total Cache.

If the issue still persists when all plugins are disabled, please try creating your own separate thread at:

    Thanks ??

    Thanks Gary,
It ended up being the “WP deferred javaScript” plugin.
    Thanks for your help.

@garryshortt – glad you found the culprit.

I’m closing this thread now – if anyone needs further help, please start a new thread. Thanks!
