Also I read this thread and searched for ‘wc_stripe_hide_payment_request_on_product_page’ in my theme ‘functions.php’ but it’s not present.

Sorry to see you’re encountering an issue, I appreciate you including your status report and we’ll be happy to see how we can assist.

You mentioned the gateway worked up until a specific date, were there any changes made to the site on that date? Did you do any updates, change hosts, add new plugins/extensions, switch themes, or anything of this nature that you can recall?

I’d also like to ask you to check for any error logs from the date the issue initially occurred, if you head to your dashboard, select WooCommerce > Status > Logs, and then hit the drop down do you see any fatal errors listed for the specific date this began?

If there were no changes, no errors logged, and you’re still seeing the behavior it may be worth performing a conflict test to check for any potential issues.

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront (https://woocommerce.com/storefront/?aff=10486&cid=1131038) and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Stripe. Then test to see if the issue is resolved.

To figure out which plugin is causing the problem – reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

When I go to the settings page of the plugin I immediately get 3 error messages at the bottom, then they disappear:

– Error retrieving account keys
– Error retrieving settings
– Error retrieving account data

I updated the plugins to newest versions a few days ago, I think Stripe Gateway had a new version too.

Other wise I have a bunch of these errors that on January 6th for 16 hours and then again today:

Hi @oaoyadeyi and @snaacks,

Yes I narrowed it down to one plugin: WooCommerce Multilingual (by WPML). This plugin is on version 4.12.14 that was released 3 months ago. So it looks more like a change in the Stripe Gateway or WooCommerce latest release is causing the incompatibility.

Is there a place I can download a previous version of WooCommerce Stripe and/or WooCommerce to test downgrading my site ?

I’m sorry to hear that – from here you may consider approaching WPML support as well, as they may be already working on updating their plugin.

One idea you can try is while WPML is disabled making sure the early access ‘Updated Experience’ is disabled, as disabling this early access feature sometimes resolves issues. If it is enabled, you can disable it by navigating to your Stripe settings, clicking the three dot menu for ‘Payment Methods’, and selecting ‘Disable’:

Regarding downgrading, you can download prior versions of plugins from each plugin’s main www.remarpro.com page, clicking the ‘Advanced’ view on the right hand side, and then scrolling down to the ‘Previous Versions’ area. Here is a direct link to that area for each of those plugins:

There is not such image in the settings.
I have 2 tabs: Payment methods and Setting.
When under Payment methods I see:

Payments accepted on checkout

Credit card / debit card
Let your customers pay with major credit and debit cards without leaving your store.

There is no checkbox on the left like on your image, no early access logo and no 3 dots on the right.

I will try to downgrade Stripe plugin first. Thanks for the links.

I downgraded both plugins to 5.9 by just switching the files on the server but the issue is still here. I opened a ticket with WPML:

Since your plugin is officially compatible with WPML, did you test it lately or am I the only one with this problem?
