    Hi guys,

I found a serious issue with Woocommerce 3.0.4 that is causing me many problems.

Usually I have to place orders for some customers that are not tech savy enough to do themselves. I would be logged in WP but as I placed the order I would use the client name and email to fill in the Checkout form.

With the new version of WC when I do that, the name of all previous orders that I placed are changed to the new name I fill in the checkout form, although the emails are still different for each order.

    I have now for instance

    #1236 by John
    #1235 by John
    #1234 by john

and if I place a new order for, let’s say Steve I get for ALL the previous orders I’ve placed

    #1237 by Steve
    #1236 by Steve
    #1235 by Steve
    #1234 by Steve

is this now IP based? Can I prevent this behavior? This is messing up my order management and I would say as a rule of thumb that it is pretty dangerous to change past orders…I’m not sure what else is being changed…

    Would appreciate any help

Orders you create are associated with your user ID, so they are yours.

Use ‘user switching’ plugin to create orders as someone else. The actual use case is not officially supported.

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking a bit about it and I understand your point.
I will try to think of a way to work around this situation. Either using a User Switching plugin or simply just create new accounts for each new user.

Thanks for your reply and help!
