Hey all, I have a very big problem and I’m so confused!!

So I was trying to change an existing website of a club in my university, we already have a domain name and it was created on wordpress but I didn’t have the username and password from the previous web developer.

Meanwhile, I created a whole new wordpress site using MAMP on my own computer without the need for a domain name. I finished it and now I got the username and password for the OLD website.
I logged on to the old website and tried to upgrade it to the latest version but it asked for Hostname, FTP/SSH Username, FTP/SSH password, and Connection Type.
My questions are: Where do I get these from?
Even when I upgrade wordpress, can I somehow use the new one I created using MAMP with the current domain?
