Hello, I need to drop all the tables from my MySQL database, but I don’t understand how install phpmyadmin on the web server. I’ve heard you can execute MySQL commands from the Mac terminal but I can’t find information on how to do that. I’m in deep trouble as a site has to be up today but a fresh installation of wordpress won’t work because there is still tables on the database? Any ideas on how to resolve this problem GREATLY appreciated.

  • Does your host offer a control panel? If so, and they are supporting MySQL for you, then very likely they already have phpmyadmin installed. You can get a download of the software from the phpmyadmin web site, but BE SURE it is not already installed as shared software before you do

Thanks for that mechx1 – have sorted things out with hosts.
