    I have been falling in love with this plugin, as you probably have noticed from my earlier writings. But this issue is simply something that must be fixed before anything else.

    If you do not have at least one simple product in your Woocommerce store, the plugin templates will not work.

    This dependency on a simple product should be addressed ASAP.

    Thanks for addressing the simple product message issue. Let me clear this for you.

    If you have no product in your woocommerce store and installed ShopEngine then during the template creation while editing with Elementor there will be no product available to load. So, to avoid this issue we have added this simple type product adding message if there is no product available in woocommerce.

    But sometimes there is also product availabe in woocommerce but all of them are other variants like variable product. If there is no simple type product available then we request to add a simple product variant to load the product in Elementor editor to show the user a generalized format.

    Hope that clarifies your query. Also we will update the message to add simple variant product in our future update to avoid the confusion.

    But if you only have variable products then you are forced to create a simple product, which you are not using.

    Even after setting up the single product page, if you delete the simple product the template will not render.

    I think this is a very important issue to address.

    The best way to address this issue is doing like everyone else, give the option to choose which product you want to use as preview, variable or simple should not be a factor.
