URGENT: I broke my blog! (main blog page doesn’t show up, everything else works)

    Hi,

    Everything in my blog works (pages, single posts, archives, search, categories etc). However, just the main blog page (that shows top x posts) doesn’t work. It’s at https://www.zhamid.ca/blog. I can’t figure out what’s wrong. Please help :(.

  • Most likely, you have another folder on your webserver named /blog/ If so delete that folder and your blog will work.

    Also check with these options:

    -> Disable all the plugins and enable it one by one to find out the culprit.
    -> Upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
    -> Check with default theme to rule out theme level issues.

    Yes, it was the theme issue. I switched to another theme and it started working: THANK YOU.

    Now I need to figure out what broke it so I can have my old site back :). Thanks so much for the tip though, you’re a life saver!
