• Guys,

Let me try to make myself clear.

I was runing my blog, but I bought another theme, I uploaded it to the Wp, and since them I cannot access anything. When I try to login at wp-admin, It comes a blank page, so I cant even change the theme to the last one.

What Im trying to do is, access my CPANEL, and from the inside, (I mean, the config files) change the theme, for the one which was working perfectly before).

Is it possible? How can I do that.

  • If you can access your site through cPanel or another file management application, you can delete the offending theme’s folder. The next time you visit the admin area, WordPress should tell you that the active theme is broken and it’s reverting to the default.

    Hi Stephen!

Thank you very much. Dude, I tried what you told me, but when I tried to log in it doesnt appear anything, just a blank page. DO you have any other ideias? tks in advance, Im really desperate.

To clarify, you’ve gone to yoursite.com/wp-admin/, logged in to your Dashboard, and you still have the white screen of death?

    this may help

    go to phpMyadmin

    find the table wp_options

change the value of template and stylesheet to the theme you used before (or any working and installed theme)

I couldnt find this Phpmyadmin or wp_options,where these files use to be?

phpMyadmin is the software for administration of MySQL. You can find it in your Cpanel.

But when you change template and stylesheet values you will need to use EXACT name (working theme name)

It may sound at first a bit complicated but works 100%

Blogoguru and Stephen Thanks a lot

I could change the theme, using the phpMyadmin! Perfect, but I still cannot acess my wp panel.

My theme is the old one, but when I log in, or try to, it comes a blank page. Is it possible to reinstall somehow the basic wp files again?

Once more, thank you guys very much
