urgent help needed! my posts have several categories. But …

My posts have about 25 categories. But I only want a certain category to display in my blog page.

My front page is static. The designated blog page is showing posts from ALL categories – how can I remedy this?

Please help asap.

P.S. :
One solution I had was to use “More Types” or CMS Press and create another Post type, and then have them publicly queriable – CMS has an option to then list them all together – like a blog. The permalink of the new page can be the same as the address of the listing CMS Press assigns.

But I am SURE there is a way without using another plugin…
