    Hello,

The latest WordPress update (4.9.5) breaks the Edit post or Edit page features when Site Origin Page Builder is active.

I have used Health Check to single out Site Origin Page Builder as the culprit: activating the plugin breaks the Edit page, deactivating it restores it to normal behaviour.

Since some of the pages on my site are built using Site Origin Page Builder, if I deactive the plugin, the pages are broken. On the other hand, I need to update my pages ??

Here is the Edit page when I activate the plugin:

    Please help ??
    V.

Thanks for the PHP error, we’re looking at it now.

@misplon I don’t think the sidebar itself needs to have anything in it in a particular page. It looks like simply having it activated is enough to break the Edit page.

    Crossposting to Jetpack forum.

    By the way,

Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function Jetpack_Widget_Social_Icons::enqueue_admin_scripts(), 0 passed in /home/*****/public_html/test/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/inc/admin.php on line 449 and exactly 1 expected in /home/*****/public_html/test/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/widgets/social-icons.php:45

is a very precise definition of plugin conflict ??

There is no error in the browser console:

Thanks. We’re looking at what we might be able to do from our side.

I just came looking and I can report the same problem. Just thought i’d confirm that disabling the Extra Sidebar Widgets from jetpack seems to fix the issue

    Thanks for confirming.

From the GitHub thread: it’s apparently a Social Icons widget that’s breaking the page.

If you have wp-cli installed on your server, I’d recommend using wp jetpack module deactivate widgets and wp cache flush to fix the issue on your site(s) until the Jetpack 6.0 widgets module bug is fixed & it can be re-activated.

As an aside, you can use wp site list --field=url | xargs -n1 -I % wp --url=% jetpack module deactivate widgets and wp site list --field=url | xargs -n1 -I % wp --url=% cache flush for a WordPress Network / Multi-Site setup to address this for every site in the installation.

Site Origin have released a fix (2.6.4), issue should be resolved.

I am having these issues too. Page Builder option is not available in the editor.
I am unable to edit pages, or make new ones without disabling the plugin.

I do not have JP installed.

Tried disabling all other plugins. Still not working.

    Hi @clisko

Thanks for posting. Please, open a new support topic. This topic is resolved. The error is not the same. The error you’re seeing is in your child theme.
