    Hello,

We are using Ultimate Member and for the past few days users are unable to login. They are told their passwords are incorrect, but no matter what you reset, it doesn’t help. I just checked with our hosting provider and this is the related error according to their log.

“PHP Warning: stripslashes() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/setuyoga/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/includes/core/um-actions-profile.php on line 250”

How can I correct this? I tried testing a login form for subscribers not created through UM, but the same error appears according to the host. Thank you for your time.

Also, I tested for plugin conflicts and removed custom code that could have maybe affected how UM login form is working, but sadly no results, still having the same error.

    Hi @lgsstudios,

I see that you have Restrict Content Pro forms on your site, do you have Restrict Content Pro and Ultimate member installed on your site?
Unfortunately, Ultimate member doesn’t have integration with Restrict Content Pro and we do not recommend running these plugins on one install.

    Regards.

Hi, I resolved the issue. It seems that if a user is a default WordPress “Subscriber”, they have issues using the UM form but if you assign them a UM custom class, no issue. About a week ago plain subscribers were able to login no problem. Hope this helps anyone experiencing this issue in the future!

Also, we were having that issue without the site running RCP so it does seem to be something in the UM code. Thank you for your time.

We have also the problem, that users cant get a new password.
This seems to be since we made the update from UM

Are there any other plugins on your site that affect password forms? We use Restrict Content Pro and their password form is what they use.

We found out that users now need Custom defined UM classes to login correctly. Being a plain subscriber seemed to cause issues (also with Restrict Content Pro turned off, definitely an Ultimate Member update thing).

Hi, I have the same problem like this… You can check it out at this thread: BUG – All Users Can’t Login After “Forgot Password”

I tried to follow your way of fixing this, but it doesn’t work at all… I hope the developers really look into this, it’s causing an uproar on my community

    If this helps anyone:

We created a new custom UM role and assigned it to users who were previously marked as Subscribers. It seems like the form broke when using a WP default category (even though that previously worked).

I’d try creating a new Role and switching a test user to it to see if you can log in.

    Ecample:

I changed my user “Test4” from Subscriber to a new role I created “um_supporter”
or whatever you’d like to call it
