    Hi Andre,

If you have the direct URL link to where a package can be tracked, then the simplest thing would be to just add this link to the “Public Order Notes” field when creating the Order. We have a tutorial video that covers this feature here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YySDJa69HAE.

Alternatively, in our premium version, we offer Custom Fields, which would allow you to create a field on your order specifically for the package tracking URL. To learn more about that feature, you can view our video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVsrJT1O0X0.

Thank you for the reply. I have watched both videos and are not specific for what I am trying to achieve.

I did enter the link to track a package with the carrier on the front end side in customer notes. However, it does not post as a hyperlink and therefor the customer had to highlight, copy and open a new tab, paste which is not efficient. I paid for the premium account and looking for a descriptive premium answer.

I understand how to create a custom field but it will not display as a hyperlink.

    Please advise,

    thanks.

    Hi Andre,

Right now you would have to wrap the URL in the appropriate anchor tags in order to create an actual link on the page. For example, if you wanted to link to https://google.com, you could create a new custom field with the “Type” set to “Short Text” and then, for a specific order, the data you would enter for the custom field would be: https://google.com.

We’re looking into adding a “Link” feature to the available types of custom fields in a future update.
