UPS API? Do I get one or the client

Dumb question maybe. I’m kind of new to woocommerce.
My clients ships products via UPS, and there is a need for an API key. Can I create my own account for an api key, or does the client need his own?
I’m guessing doesn’t matter. I don’t any experience with APIs.
