• Hello,

For some reason when I upload something it is not being stored.
I do not get an error message and the upload is being saved, but its not on the server….
Tried it serval times, but nothing seems to work.

It should make a new 2016 folder, which is also not happening….

    As you can see here:

File permissions are set to 777 to test it out (i know thats bad practice)

  • I have the exact same problem. I created the folders 2016/01 manually, didn’t help. The folder remains empty. Also tried setting file permissions to 777 on wp_content but still got the broken image placeholder.

Also deactivated all the plugins and set the theme to Twenty Fifteen. That didn’t help either.

@sperziemone, have you found an solution yet? It seems it is not a global error, but it only affects 2 of my WordPress sites…

I haven’t ?? For now I just upload images to my other WP site and grab the direct url. But I do need a solution as my client will need to be able to directly upload and use images.

I can’t find too much about this issue, so it doesn’t seem like a huge bug indeed. If I find a solution, I’ll post it here. I’ll be doing some more Googling soon I guess :/

    Oh my, I fixed it!

In Settings -> Media the path was something like “accountname/domain.nl/public/wp-content/uploads” instead of “wp-content/uploads”. So in my case, it wasn’t an update issue, but moving to another hosting issue after which the path was faulty.
