    Hi
In the last week I’ve not been able to download backup files to my computer. I’m using safari, Mac OSx, and only have problems with the ‘uploads’ backup file, all of the other four backup files download fine. When I click on ‘Download to your computer’ the download gets added to the download list but just says ‘Decompression Failed’. I’ve also tried with Google Chrome and get the following error message: This webpage is not available ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE
There are no errors on completing the backup itself. The log appears fine.
Any ideas on what might be going wrong? The uploads file is c. 177mb so not that large I would have thought that was a problem…
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks, Tracie C

    Hi,

I guess something on your webserver, computer or network doesn’t like the size, as that’s the only distinguishing thing. If downloading through the WordPress dashboard doesn’t work, then you can/should download directly from the remote storage instead. So, if you’ve stored it on Dropbox, then get it out of your Dropbox (www.dropbox.com); etc.; if you’ve not used any remote storage, then use FTP and go to the directory wp-content/updraft on your website, and download from there.

    David
