Upload/load images from another server

  • Hi,

    Right now I’m loading images from wp-content/uploads, as usual.

    Still, as my site grows, I feel the need to move the images to a subdomain like “static.mysite.com”. I have my own VPS so I can do whatever I want regarding domains, subdomains, etc.

    So, after creating the subdomain, what should I do? How can I “link” WP to the new FTP server or to the new /home/mysite/subdomains/static?

  • I recommend checking out W3 Total Cache plugin, which once set up will take care of this and lots of other performance issues at once for you.
