Uploading to host

Hi there,

Recently I finished making my website with all my pages ready to go etc. I had been using WAMP. I then decided to upload to my host. The host told me I needed to make a database for it so created a new database (feeling as if this has already been done before for WAMP??) and begun to upload all of my wordpress files. As it connected to my site it lead me to wordpress configuration page and so I filled out the information again, and then it lead me to the default wordpress page! Is this a config.php problem? I have a backup of the original config.php file that I could upload, but would this allow me to see my website back to scratch again? or would it be default again. Or have I done something wrong here?? I just dont want to create all my pages etc again!! (p.s – all of my plugins remained the same, just pages weren’t there)
