• Hello again

    Can someone please explain to me what this means

    “Duplicate theme and author URLs. A theme URL is a page/site the provides details about this specific theme. An author URL is a page/site that provides information about the author of the theme. You aren’t required to provide both, so pick the one that best applies to your URL.”

    I got this message when I tried to add a theme.

  • Are you referring to the code at the very top of the style.css ? It normally looks something like this

    /*
    Theme Name: INVEVE
    Theme URI: https://www.inveve.com
    Description: Custom Theme for INVEVE by AsterDesign ?2009
    Version: 0.9
    Author: Art Mann
    Author URI: https://www.asterdesign.nl
    Tags: minimal, clean, white, light,
    */

    Try changing it a bit if WP isn’t allowing duplicate themes (for some reason).

    But thats once its already been uploaded, I am trying to upload a theme to WP directory for other people to download

    Oh so if I understnand you correctly, you would like a little script that automatically changes, for example, the “Theme URI:” to “www.nameoftheblog.com” correct ? I can’t help you there ??

    No I jsut want to know how to fix this so I can upload the theme to the WP theme directory for others to download

    If you just want to make the theme available for others to download, why not just zip it up and place it in a non WordPress directory?

    Bc I want it to be in the WordPress Directory, to get exposure and for people who come to WordPress to see.
