Uploading sidebar image in Vigilance, how?

    When setting up the Vigilance theme, I was instructed that to add images to the sidebar I had to upload them to the wp/wp-content/themes/vigilance/images/sidebar/ directory.

    At the risk of looking dim (Ok I admit it!) how do I do this?
