Creating this layout with this padding

I’m hoping to get some direction so I can create a page with two vertical photos in one row and a horizontal photo on the next row. I don’t want the vertical photos to stack when viewing on mobile or tablet. What has mostly seemed to work is creating three containers, one with the two verticals and one with the horizontal. I then set the verticals container to “grid” then add two columns. The problem, then, is that there is too much padding — padding around the image and padding around the container that the individual vertical image is in (although the padding setting is set to zero for both)
