Uploading Pages

    Hey all,

    I’m new to using WP on my own domain. I’m trying to put together a test site for myself but have run into a terrible newb issue. How do I upload pages??

    I am running on a subdomain for testing purposes and using a downloaded theme. When I make pages, they show in the header – but clicking on them gives me 404s. The URL matches the permalink WP shows in the admin area.

    Help?

    In Settings Permalinks try and go back to default and save and see if your pages open

    If they do go back and try and select Custom structure and put
    /%postname%/
    in box and save now try and see if your pages open.

    If they still do not open check with your host if they have mod_rewrite On

    @chillannyc unless you mean you’re uploading “Page Templates”, you don’t upload a Page. You create it with dashboard > Page > Add New and Publish.

    I had to edit my htaccess file.
