• Hi guys,

Does anyone else ever experience issues when uploading new images to the media library?

My site works fine, but then I upload a new image to my media library (have tried heaps of different images) and various parts of my site stop working… for example my homepage won’t load, but other pages load fine. If I then delete the newly added image, everything is fine. I have quite a few images in my library, and they sit there just fine… only issue is when I add new images.

Just not sure how to go about trouble shooting this…

    Thanks for your help!
    Jon

    Never heard of that happening!

If you switch to the default theme, does it still happen? If not, the problem’s probably somewhere in your theme.

Deactivate all plugins. Does it still happen? If not, it’s probably a plugin at fault, so reactivate them one at a time to figure out which.

Still not working? Reinstall WordPress (using Dashboard > Updates).

Come back and tell us what happened, with a bit more information such as which theme you’re using and the url of your site.

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for the reply!

I *think* I have tracked it down to a Google-Maps-GPX-Viewer plugin I had enabled… disabled it and the homepage loads again!

    Thanks!
    Jon
