    Hello M?ns.

I’ve got a number of customer sites on WP 4.3.1. I noticed recently on each of them that if I replace a file with one of a different name, using the option to ‘Replace the file, use new file name and update all links’, the file replaces the old one in the media library but the links in pages, posts and widgets are not updated correctly.

The ‘href=’ portion of the link is correctly updated, but the ‘img src=’ and ‘alt=’ still contain the original file name. So the new image, PDF or file is not displayed.

The problem applies to both Posts and Pages.

I’ve tested it on sites at two different ISPs with the same result.

I’m using WordPress with the Genesis Framework and Executive child theme. Genesis is pretty good and hasn’t caused any problems with plugins in the past. I use the minimum of plugins and none of the others relate to media.

Could you please take a look and perhaps fix it or advise if it’s not your plugin that is the problem?

    Thanks a lot!
    Mike
