I’ll give you one weird thing. I saw people on 3.2.1 having this issue too. So it’s not JUST the upgrade, nor is everyone breaking.

And most people I’ve see who fixed this, did so by flushing their caches. Browser, site, server, erc.

Installing the “Hotfix” plugin fixed my problems.

Experiencing the same issue…
click add media icon and shadow screen pops up…but nothing else happen!!??

Have tried suggestions above but to no-avail.
“hotfix” plugin did not work for me ??

Please let me know when/ how to fix.

P.S wordpress – love you, but not this update – hate the toolbar!

It’s not working on any of 8 sites for me either, with 3.3 and 1.9.1.

I only updated one live site, but trying to track it down I setup 7 others. Nothing.

I can only use the upload dialog once, any other use results in the button press being ignored outright. The “progress 100%” goes across and stays there. That’s it.

Using Safari 5.0.4.

Everyone swears by NGG, and right now I’m just swearing at it. I needed this to work.. ??

I had the uploading problem too (disabled flash uploader) with the never loading page..
Then i realized that the images i was uploading where the original size…
When i tried uploading the “saved for web” and “722×480” sized images
It worked perfectly

nope. my images are always cropped. darn it. totally useless without images! ??

I had the same problem on google chrome. Emptying the browser cache is the solution, guys! Just empty the cache and then you’re good to go ??

I am getting the following problem

I am using Chrome and I have also cleared the cache.

Also in the overview I get

Check plugin/theme conflict
No conflict could be detected

Test image function
Couldn’t create image, check your memory limit

Check theme compatibility
Missing the call to wp_head() in your theme, contact the theme author

It has been reported to me that there might be a connection to jQuery, jQuery UI or more generally JavaScript. I have not seen this line explored yet, has anybody been looking in this direction?

i have updated to 3.3 a couple of weeks ago. until today, i had no issues with uploading using the media uploader in the flash format. I have been trying to upload using firefox and Chrome and have had nothing but issues.
the media uploader opens fine, and i can drag and drop the files just fine, but when i go to insert an image to my post, the media uploader attemps to do it, then in the same pop up window, takes me back to my dashboard on the text message tab. my image does not insert into the post. I clear my cache about every 3 days, and I posted using the mapquest plug-in yesterday, with no problems.
I will try using IE 8 and see if that helps, and check for the hotfix and see if that helps.
