Uploading Images Freezes on Crunching

Hello,

I have been using WordPress with Standard Theme for over a year now. I upload images frequently, and have never had any issues until 5 days ago. I uploaded an image, and it takes forever to upload and eventually just sits on “Crunching” infinitely.

When it began, I had changed nothing. In the pursuit of trying to fix the problem I’ve fully upgraded wordpress, the plugins, and tried the HTCaccess code fix. All to no avail. I’ve also deactivated all plugins, and still am having the same error.

I’m using google chrome, but have the same issue when I try to use Internet Explorer.

Any help would be appreciated.
