Uploading Image Takes Time

    Hi there

    I just started one website at *** hosting. As usual, I installed my favorite plugin BPS on that website. ??
    Here’s how problem started: it took almost 45 seconds to upload 25KB image after I activated BPS. Although I disabled BPS, same issue happened when I upload another small image.

    When chatting with live support from hosting service, the guy explained –

    Guy: I have changed php version for your WordPress installation.
    Guy: There was a lot of core files in wp-admin folder.
    Guy: They were caused by php version issue.
    Me: May I know what did you change on my files?
    Guy: In order to add php version you need to add to .htaccess the following rule: “AddHandler application/x-httpd-php52 .php .php5 .php4 .php3”

    Honestly, I don’t understand those rules but image uploading speed is back to normal now. And, surprisingly, he deleted my .htacceess file and created the new one with above rule when I checked through FileZilla.

    WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? There’s no “BPS .htaccess” in my root folder!

    Do the steps below to add your new php/php.ini handler .htaccess code into your root .htaccess file with BPS security .htaccess code.

    1. Copy the php/php.ini handler .htaccess that your Host support gave you AddHandler application/x-httpd-php52 .php .php5 .php4 .php3 to this BPS Custom Code text box: CUSTOM CODE TOP PHP/PHP.INI HANDLER/CACHE CODE

    2. Click the Save Root Custom Code button.

    3. Go the BPS Security Modes page, click the Create secure.htaccess File AutoMagic button and activate Root folder BulletProof Mode again.
